  Residence on Martha’s Vineyard

This house is located on a low bluff at the end of a private road surrounded by meadow and native cedar trees. It overlooks a lagoon and ocean beyond to the south, and the Farm Neck golf course to the west. The house borrows its vocabulary from Shingle Style neighbors and uses materials typical on the island: natural cedar siding and painted wood trim. There is a swimming pool concealed between the house and the garage, and an expansive deck to take advantage of the sun and the views to the south. The primary public rooms open to this view while the bedrooms are tucked within the roof upstairs. Above the garage there is a small apartment with its own kitchenette
